Accurate Prostate Cancer Diagnosis Depends On Biopsy Location (Medical News Today)
The part of the prostate that is biopsied may matter more than the number of biopsy samples taken for accurately diagnosing prostate cancer, according to a study by researchers at SUNY Upstate Medical University. In men with early or "localized" prostate cancer, the strategy of active surveillance of their cancer does not appear to increase levels of psychological stress any more than undergoing immediate treatment does, according to UK researchers.
